We are seeking an Environmental Designer to join the Central Creative Team at Red Rocks Church. This position will work alongside a team of creatives as well as the Facilities Team to push creativity and innovation as a reflection of the Creator and utilize every opportunity to help Make Heaven More Crowded. With minimal supervision, this position will work collaboratively with other creative team members, the Facilities Team, ministries, and campuses to create a cohesive and comfortable environment that supports the integrity of the Red Rocks Church brand.
This is a full-time position, based at our Littleton, Colorado offices with frequent travel between local campuses. No opportunity for remote work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Red Rocks Church brand through the design of practical spaces that serve both our staff and church congregants in a way that supports our values and brand, including maintenance, renovation, and expansion of all existing and future spaces.
- Provide environmental and interior designs, as well as cost estimates, project timelines, material options, and all pertinent details for the planning, approval, and execution of projects.
- Work with the Art Director to create cohesive branding across all Red Rocks Church spaces
- Clearly communicate with the Project Manager and Facilities Manager
- Provide project samples and mood boards, as well as materials and product sourcing
- Oversee work progress and communicate project status to stakeholders
- Build and maintain working relationships with all contractors and partners
- Conceptualize, design, prepare specs, and manage all details through production
- Propose and manage project budgets
- Balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Be willing to help anyone on the team through collaboration, brainstorms, hands-on projects, special events, etc.
Must Haves:
- Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions)
- Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installation.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs (3D rendering skills a plus)
- Portfolio showcasing your creative ability
- Resourceful, imaginative and budget-conscious

- Proactive problem solver with attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
